Drunk Christmas was amazing. My cheeks hurt from laughing so much. These people are amazing at improvisation. If you haven't done a drunken Shakespeare, you need to. Great humor.

Absolutely Hilarious Night Out! We went to see Drunk Christmas Carol with the Drunk Shakespeare Society and it was so freaking fun from start to finish. They managed to blend all the classic Christmas stories into one ridiculous, clever, non-stop comedy show. The acting was fantastic, every performer was quick, sharp, and completely committed to the chaos in the best way. The staff was amazing too. Everyone was friendly, upbeat, and made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. You can tell they love what they do. If you want a night where you can laugh hard, enjoy something totally different, and feel like you’re part of the show, this is it. Highly recommend!

FAQ

Is this the same as Drunk Shakespeare?

Same team, new holiday tradition. Drunk Christmas Carol comes from The Drunk Shakespeare Society, the company that’s been getting one actor gloriously drunk and turning classics into chaos for over a decade. If you’ve seen one of our shows, you know the drill: real actors, real alcohol, and no two nights are the same. If you haven’t, this is a great place to start.

If you know Scrooge is grumpy and ghosts show up, you’re caught up. The jokes are modern, the references are pop culture, and the plot stays as clear as it can after five shots of whiskey.

Yes, really. One professional actor drinks five shots to start the show. The cast rotates who drinks each night, eats and hydrates beforehand, and gets a safe ride home. We take drinking responsibly seriously.

Not at all. The cast drinks so you don’t have to. There’s no drink minimum, and we’ve got mocktails delivered right to your seat.

Only if you volunteer. Sit in the back to watch, stage side to play, or take the throne to run the whole show.

90 minutes, no intermission, so your night is still young when it ends. Strictly 21+; everyone is ID’d at the door.

The Hotel Cafe is at 1623 N Cahuenga Blvd in Hollywood. Our entrance is through the alley on the building’s north side. Paid parking is in two nearby lots: one just behind the venue and one about half a block north on the same side of the street. Street parking is limited, so rideshare is often easiest.

You’re on the Cahuenga corridor, a block off Hollywood Boulevard, with dinner and bars in every direction. Grab a bite before, then the show, then a nightcap nearby. At 90 minutes, the show leaves plenty of night left.

Yes. The show, the bar and the entertainment are handled, drinks come to your seat, and it’s unlike anything else in Hollywood this season. Groups of 9+ save on tickets, and groups of 50+ can book the whole venue. See group rates.

GET SCROOGED.

The ghosts are only in town for the holidays. Playing November 18 – January 9
